About The American Classic
|
1. PREMIUM PANEL THICKNESS .044":
Provides rigidity that keeps panel straighter, even over uneven spots on walls. Improves impact resistance… 90-inch lb. force vs. VSI minimum standard 60-inch lb. force.
2. PROFILES:
D/4”, D/5” Dutchlap, D/6”
3. COLORS:
Sixteen Decorator colors with Lifetime Fade and Hail protection (see Warranty for details). Eight premium colors protected by COLORHOLD® capping resins.
4. COLORHOLD® :;
A UV-stable acrylic polymer that has excellent fade-resistant properties providing weathering performance far beyond that of standard vinyl products.
5. NATURAL CEDAR WOODGRAIN:
Low gloss finish replicates the look and feel of wood, without the constant upkeep and routine maintenance.
6. 1 ¼” THICK LAMINATED EXPANDED POLYSTYRENE FOAM:
Siding looks and feels like wood, lies flat on wall with tight seams.
Adds superior strength and rigidity to the siding panel, improving impact resistance by 400% over conventional, .040” hollow-back vinyl sidings (from 60-inch/lbs. force to 240-inch/lbs.). Enhanced resistance to storm damage. Impact resistance of 240-inch/lbs. force is the highest rating of all laminated siding panels on the market.
Long-term thermal performance with an “R”-Value of 4.00
Reduces air infiltration.
Energy consumption will decrease a minimum of 20% each year by installing American Classic Composite Siding Plus! (based on third party (ATI) independent testing).
Reduced noise transmission.
Foam is environmentally friendly and fully recyclable.
The foam breathes, has a Perm rating of 5, and is not a vapor barrier. Water vapor is not trapped in walls where it can cause damage to wood, and promote the growth of mold. Materials with Perm ratings of 1 to 2 are vapor retardants, and ratings of less than 1 are vapor barriers.
Foam is treated with a fire retardant chemical and will not support combustion.
Foam is treated with Borate, a termite resistant additive that is safe to humans
and pets. Prohibits termites and carpenter ants from nesting in the foam, where they
would have easier access to their food source.
The coefficients of thermal expansion and contraction are the same for the
laminated foam, the adhesive bonding agent and the vinyl siding panel.
Foam will not shrink like some foam products, maintaining its shape and size for
maximum energy efficiency. Structural Lamination integrity and Thermal Performance are
backed by a Double Lifetime Warranty (see Warranty for details). The “R” Value is warranted
not to decrease by more than 5% over the lifetime of the product.
Foam will not absorb moisture.
7. REVERSE ROLLED-OVER NAILING HEM:
Doubles the siding thickness at the nailing
surface for resistance to pull-off; even in high winds exceeding 200 mph.
The D/4” and D/5” Dutchlap hollow-back panels have been tested to withstand wind
loads of 251 MPH. The foam lamination significantly increases the panels’ wind
load capabilities. The D/6 panel with foam lamination, has been tested to withstand
wind loads of 215 MPH.
8. AMERISECURE LOCKING SYSTEM®:
An innovative locking system that combines a ¾” panel projection (D/4” and D/5” Dutchlap) with a curled return leg and an extra heavy-duty top lock. Adds strength and rigidity, and creates a tighter, more secure lock between panels. This also adds enhanced shadow lines. The D/6” panel has a 5/8” panel projection.
9. ENERGY STAR RATED:
Products that are designed to protect the environment through superior energy efficiency.
10. INSTALLATION SYSTEM:
Easy to install, lays flat and straight against the wall and lays flat at the seams. Basic accessories and tools complete the installation process. Installs like hollow-back vinyl sidings.
11. GOOD HOUSEKEEPING SEAL:
An assurance of quality manufacturing standards, and quality products. A trusted symbol of consumer confidence for almost a century. Norandex/Reynolds is one of only two companies whose products carry the Good Housekeeping Seal.
12. ISO 9001-2000 CERTIFICATION:
Quality assurance standards developed by the International Organization for Standardization. Norandex/Reynolds is the only laminated vinyl siding manufacturer that has had its quality systems registered for compliance.
13. NORANDEX/REYNOLDS:
Is the only vinyl siding manufacturer with both the Good Housekeeping Seal and ISO Certification.
14. UL – UNDERWRITERS LABORATORIES SEAL:
The leading quality system registrar in the United States audited Norandex/Reynolds manufacturing systems for quality assurance and compliance with all ISO 9001-2000 certification standards.
15. VSI CERTIFICATION:
This product meets or exceeds the specifications and standards set forth by the Vinyl Siding Institute.
6. WARRANTY:
Lifetime Warranty on material and labor to the original purchaser, including a Lifetime Fade and Hail Warranty. The Fade Warranty covers fade in excess of a color change of three (3) Hunter Units (3 Hunter Units or less is a change virtually undetectable by the human eye). The Hail Warranty is after applicable insurances and deductibles. Structural Lamination integrity and Thermal Performance (not to decrease more than 5%) are warranted for the lifetime of the original purchaser, and the second owner. The warranties are transferable to the second owner as a 50 Year Non-prorated Warranty, except fade, which is 50 Year Prorated. Norandex/Reynolds is one of only two laminated siding manufacturers that cover both material and labor in their Hail Warranty.
